Stabilize and Scale: Transforming AMS from a Cost Center to an Innovation Engine: SAP AMS Case Study
Industry: Building Products
Location: Atlanta, GA
Project: S/4HANA Data Conversion/Migration
Delivery Model: Onshore
Client
Our client is global leader in building materials, providing essential products like aggregates, cement, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete, plus advanced solutions for infrastructure, construction, and outdoor living across North America, Europe, and globally. They manage the full lifecycle from extraction and processing to manufacturing and construction services, serving diverse projects from roads and bridges to residential and commercial buildings, emphasizing sustainability and local market integration

Situation
Our client grew their business through a series of acquisitions and mergers over a relatively short timeframe. This process left a significant challenge to consolidate, cleanse and provide master data and transactions required during migration to their new target environment.
Legacy data in non-SAP systems was redundant, disparate, and not conformed to the new SAP data models. Additionally, as control files were built for load into S/4 using SAP’s standard load templates and loads, SAP Data Services support was required to build load and validation processes.
Solution
truData provides SAP BODS Managed Services development, delivering ongoing support, monitoring, and optimization of the our clients data integration environment.
The engagement includes data flows from legacy systems into a consolidated cloud-based data warehouse, data curation and supply for data stewardship, and connections to S/4 for loads during test cycles and production deployment.
