Architecting a Clean Core for a Global Organizational Consulting Firm: SAP BTP Case Study
Industry: Executive Search
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Project: SAP BTP Implementation (ongoing)
Delivery Model: Onshore/Nearshore
Client
Our client is global organizational consulting firm known for synchronizing strategy, talent, and leadership to drive performance, offering services in executive search, talent acquisition, leadership development, organizational strategy, and rewards, helping companies find, develop, and retain top people to bridge the "potential gap" between their current state and future goals. They use data-driven insights and research-backed tools to provide a full spectrum of talent management solutions across the employee lifecycle, from CEO recruitment to workforce transformation.

Situation
In step with their migration to S/4, our client needed to modernize custom UI5 Fiori developments along SAP’s future reference architecture.
While they want the accelerated capabilities of a low-code/no-code platform, the existing development team has a strong ABAP background and familiarity with SAP development models and techniques. A ‘future proof’ platform was required towards achieving a “clean core” in their future S/4 environment.
Solution
truData implemented SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using a blended onshore and nearshore delivery model to create a clean-core extension and integration framework. The solution enabled application extensions, workflow automation, and system integrations while reducing custom code in core the SAP system. SAP Build in BTP provides a UI5/Java development environment to compliment the ABAP developments and API-based connections to S/4.
Following implementation, truData provides managed services support to ensure ongoing stability, enhancements, and optimization. This approach improved agility, accelerated time-to-market for new capabilities, and established a scalable foundation for advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions, supported by a partner accountable from build through run.
